
Kingston Educational Institute is set to host a three-day national seminar on "Advancing History through Codification of Pre-1947 Laws" from July 11-13, 2024. Sponsored by the Indian Council of Historical Research (ICHR) , the event organised by Secretary of Kingston Educational Institute Uma Bhattacharjee and President Tipam Bhattacharjee will feature a distinguished lineup of scholars and experts, including Dr. Champak Bhattacharyya, Dr. Ranjeeta Mukherjee, and Prof. (Dr.) Shambhu Prasad Chakraborty.
This seminar follows the success of a previous event hosted by Kingston Educational Institute, which explored the influence of Shri Chaitanya Maha Prabhu on spiritual movement and Indian history. The event brought together renowned scholars and experts, including Dr. D.B. Sakhyawar and Swami Sankarananda Maharaj, to discuss the historical and cultural significance of Shri Chaitanya Maha Prabhu's philosophy. Over three days, participants engaged in thought-provoking discussions, lectures, and cultural presentations, gaining a deeper understanding of the impact of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu's teachings on Indian society, history, and artistry.
The upcoming seminar aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of the significance of codifying pre-1947 laws and their impact on advancing historical research. Participants will have the opportunity to engage with esteemed scholars and experts in the field, including Dr. Debashree Chakraborty, HOD, Department of Law, Techno India University, and Kanak Kiran Bandyopadhyay, Advocate, Calcutta High Court.
