Forensic Accounting

Kingston Educational Institute since October 2023, has undertaken a great initiative in commencing the most resourceful course in “Forensic Accounting” in collaboration with Grant Thornton, from October, exclusively for enhancing its student’s expertise and professional excellence. A seminar on the same before starting off with the course is conducted exclusively for the students to enlighten them regarding the benefits and merits of Forensic Accounting.

Grant Thornton LLP is the American member firm of Grant Thornton International, the seventh largest accounting network in the world are providing the opportunity in collaboration with Kingston Educational Institute to shape the expertise and knowledge of accounting practices, regulations, and finance law of the participants which in turn will benefit them in fulfilling their professional responsibilities.

An insight into the forensic accounting along with a detail guideline is provided by our expert CA Kavita Kapoor, to the students under the assistance of a well-equipped computer lab at the college campus of Barasat. Subsequent to a successful completion of the course, it shall lead the students to a thorough understanding of the roles of accountants, auditors, lawyers and fraud examiners; create an awareness of the relevant legislation that governs economic crime, including common law aspects and the law of evidence, even sensitise the participants on all aspects of employee and management fraud.

Career and soft skill development

Kingston Educational Institute in collaboration with Lawctopus has organized a session on Career and Soft Skill Development at Kingston Law College, Barasat Campus. The session has been convened by Mr Tanuj Kalia, the Founding CEO of Lawctopus. The session has been designed to provide the students a thorough insight into the skills related to CV drafting, cover letter writing, planning and securing internships, LinkedIn profile creating, interview preparations, the pros and cons of variety of career options, how to boost the CV and tailor the same to secure the individuality.

The participants has also been enlightened with the merits and learning outcomes of the session at prior which necessarily includes into boosting their resilience, team work and leadership skills, communication skills, emotional maturity and emotional health, confidence and enthusiasm for learning, understanding the professional responsibility and enhancing the employability skills. The session has been immensely resourceful enough in enriching the technical ability of the participants in varied professions and has even provided the participants an opportunity to raise their individual queries in regard to their presentation skills which has been attended with a prompt solution accompanied with individual feedbacks of the experts.

Cyber Security

Kingston Educational Institute has taken an invigorating initiative to start a most successful and important course “Cyber Security ” in association with IBM, International Business Machines Corporation, nicknamed Big Blue, which is an American multinational technology company. Course has been initiated from October 2023 exclusively for enhancing its student’s expertise and professional excellence. A seminar on the same before starting off with the course is conducted exclusively for the students to enlighten them regarding the benefits and merits of the course along with the learning outcomes.

An insight into the cyber security course along with a detail guideline is provided by the experts from the IBM to the students under the assistance of a well-equipped computer lab at the college campus of Barasat. Students are being tutored to master the skills in protecting and defending the computer systems and networks from cyber security attacks; diagnosing and investigating the cyber security events or crimes related to computer systems and digital evidence.

Contract Drafting

Kingston Educational Institute in collaboration with Lawctopus has organized a one week workshop on contract drafting at Kingston Law College, Barasat Campus. The contents of the one week workshop on contract drafting includes drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts the basic skills that any lawyer needs to attain a perfect specialization in contract drafting. This workshop has been convened by Ms. Akanksha Mishra, the Head of Lawctopus, Law School.

The workshop has been designed to clarify the contracts-related concepts of the students, and give them a thorough insight into the fundamentals of contract drafting including what makes a contract, contract review, and contract negotiation, pre-contractual instruments, drafting of boilerplate clauses, drafting of operative clauses, contract execution and formalities. Participants have also been provided a personal feedback under the arrangement of a contract lab wherein, personalized feedbacks has been provided to the students drafting the contract clauses under the close supervision of the experts. Formation of negotiation table and exercising the negotiation on a given problem statement accompanied with an expert feedback on an individual basis has been one of the pivotal part of the workshop. Compulsory assignments accompanied with individual feedbacks have also been provided to the participants to review and redraft a drafted contract which included a close supervision of our experts.
